Once a study is uploaded or created, how do I report?

Worksheet

The worksheet page is where you can edit and write your report.

Study demographics

The worksheet view will show you your report as it would look as a PDF, but it’s editable. If demographics like weight, height, sex were recorded in the DICOM study, they will be mapped across onto the report for you automatically.

Findings & Conclusions

The findings and conclusions sections are free text areas you can write whatever you want in. They also have default saved statements that will appear as starting statements for a report. Statements can have dropdowns in them for quickly templating what you want to say. To find out more about managing statements read our article on them.

Measurements

Depending on your report, you may have a measurements section. All measurements taken from the machine should be mapped across and inserted into the report. If they aren’t, ensure you contact support and we can look into this. Hovering over measurements will bring up a popover where you can edit the measurement value. If you have seen a patient multiple times, a measurement history will also show.

Cardiologist & Sonographer

Once you have finished writing your report, ensure you select the appropriate cardiologist for review, and the sonographer who wrote the report.

Images

When it comes to viewing study images you can navigate to our images tab where you'll be able to view all your study images in single pane, dual pane or quad pane.

You can easily switch between rest and stress images by clicking Normal or Stress in the image viewer. If you wish to edit your report alongside the images, You can click on show report and it will bring your worksheet into a split screen view with the images

Attachments

We have two types of attachments in Piccolo: File and Media

File attachments are a place to store files like referrals, ECG traces, etc. They do not end up in the final PDF, but are instead metadata attached to a report.

To add an attachment, you can do this by clicking on the “attachments” tab and either drag and drop the desired file, or you can browse for your file on device and select upload.

Media attachments

We support embedding some attachments inside a report PDF. For study images and historical measurements, scroll down when in the worksheet view to locate the “attach media” text box and select one of the 3 options.

Historical measurements

Select Attach a chart” You will then have options on the left side of the popup to select what characteristics you’d like in the chart based off of that patients historical data stored on the system You can then add a description in the text box located on the top right under “description” then click save and your graph will populate on your report.

Study image

Select “Attach a study image”. You will then have the ability to scroll through and attach a key study image to your report, simply click on the image you’d like to attach, add a desciption in the text box on the right under “description” then click save and your image will populate on the report.

Custom image or PDF

Select “Attach a custom image or PDF”. You will then be prompted to either drag and drop your desired file, or upload from your device. Once the file has been uploaded you can enter a desciption in the text box on the right located under “description” then click save and your attachment will populate on the report.
